About Dr. Christine Latham, Ph.D.

Christine Latham a grandi en Floride, où elle troquait des travaux dans les écuries locales pour la chance de monter à cheval. La Dre Latham a obtenu son baccalauréat ès sciences de l’Université de la Floride, où elle a étudié les sciences animales. Elle a fait sa maîtrise à l’Université du Kentucky, puis un doctorat au Texas A & M. Ses recherches ont porté sur la supplémentation en acides aminés, la biologie des muscles squelettiques chez les chevaux âgés et la physiologie de l’exercice. Elle a travaillé sur plusieurs projets axés sur les effets de suppléments tels que les oligo-éléments complexés, les probiotiques, différentes combinaisons de vitamine E et de sélénium, et l’acide linoléique conjugué. Après ses études supérieures, elle a accepté une bourse postdoctorale à l’Université du Kentucky pour étudier la biologie des muscles du squelette avec le Dr Chris Fry. La Dre Latham est passionnée de physiologie de l’exercice et de nutrition équines, ainsi que de physiologie du vieillissement et d’optimisation de la biologie des muscles squelettiques pour soutenir la performance athlétique chez les animaux en santé et malades. Elle vit actuellement à Lexington au Kentucky avec ses fils, son mari, son cheval, son cochon et ses deux chiens, Penelope et Herman.
