Performance XL: Electrolytes by Mad Barn is a scientifically formulated equine electrolyte supplement designed to support athletic performance and workout recovery. It contains an ideal blend of natural minerals and vitamins to promote hydration status and muscle function.

Performance XL: Electrolytes is formulated to improve stamina for performance horses and to support hydration status in all horses.

Electrolytes are essential minerals that are important for maintaining cellular signal conductivity and regulating hydration, nerve and muscle function, blood acidity, blood pressure, and more.

Performance XL is precisely formulated to replace the electrolytes lost in sweat when training or during hot weather. With an ideal balance of potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium, this supplement helps to ensure proper muscle contraction, fluid balance and neurological function.

This supplement contains salt in a readily absorbable form which helps to maintain your horse’s physiological drive to drink water, stimulating greater voluntary fluid intake. This is particularly important on hot days.

In research studies, the combination of ingredients found in Performance XL: Electrolytes has been shown to increase time to fatigue form exercise by 33%. This is especially important for equine endurance athletes, horses in heavy work and horses in competition.

Feeding Rate: General: For each hour of work, mix one to two scoops (30 – 60 grams / 1 – 2 ounces) depending on intensity and stress of work, into 4 liters (1 gallon) of water. Can be top-dressed on grains or mixed into feed as well. Competition: Preloading before an event: Mix two scoops (60 grams / 2 ounces) in 4 liters (1 gallon) of water, one to two hours before event. Immediately following event: Mix two scoops (60 grams /2 ounces) in 4 litres (1 gallon) of water for each hour of work.
