Dr. Samantha Fraysier grew up in rural south central Pennsylvania. It was there that she developed her love for horses, as an active member in both the United States Pony Club (Graduate C-3) and 4-H.
Dr. Fraysier received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Tennessee, where she graduated Valedictorian of her class. While in veterinary school, she received numerous academic awards, served as president of the student chapter of the AAEP (American Association of Equine Practitioners) ,and established a clinical rotation in the new state-of-the-art Performance and Rehabilitation Center, all while also actively competing her horse in USEA (United States Eventing Association) competitions. Prior to her veterinary education, Dr. Fraysier attended Juniata College, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Fraysier completed an internship at Peninsula Equine Medical Center in Menlo Park, California. The practice has a high sport horse caseload and specializes in advanced lameness diagnostics and treatment, as well as emergency medicine and surgery, and general health care. During her internship, Dr. Fraysier had the opportunity to study under two ISELP (International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology) certified members, where she learned advanced imaging techniques.
