Dr. Sam grew up in Winnipeg where spent her years growing up riding English horses and later coaching flat and jumping lessons. She also played competitive volleyball though she prefers beach volleyball now. Sam completed a biology degree before getting into vet school. She graduated from the WCVM in 2018 and from there went on to complete a one year equine internship at Delaney Vet Services in Sherwood Park, Alberta where she was extensively involved in referral emergencies, lamenesses, surgeries and complex medical cases. Dr. Sam will be working with all creatures large and small at the Dawson Creek Veterinary Clinic though she particularly enjoys equine lameness, behavior and most of all has a passion for pigs! Dr. Sam and her fiancé brought their two cats with genetic defects (in her words – fainting goat cats) and their dog with them to Dawson Creek. (Source)
