Roya joined the practice in May 2019. She is a graduate of Michigan State University where she earned her B.S. with honors in Animal Science and went on to complete her veterinary education. While earning her DVM she focused on equine medicine and was president of the MSU chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP). Roya grew up in Grand Rapids, and spent her time shadowing the equine vet, along with finding any opportunity she could to be around horses. In her free time she enjoys riding hunt seat with her OTTB mare . When she’s not riding she enjoys gardening, hiking, and refinishing furniture. She lives in Grand Blanc with her husband Corey, their retired racing greyhound Enzo, and two cats! Her clinical interests include emergency and internal medicine, dentistry, and lameness. (Source)
