Dr. Poe graduated from Washington State University with a bachelors degree in Animal Sciences in 2002 and with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After graduation she worked at Broadway Animal Hospital in Moses Lake and Othello from 2005 to 2010. In 2010 she came to work for Dr. Winzer at Grand Coulee Veterinary Clinic. In 2011 Dr. Poe and her husband purchased Grand Coulee Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Poe was raised on a farm in Snohomish County in western Washington and grew up around dogs, cats, cattle, and sheep. She met her husband Ryan while studying at WSU and they were married in 2006. In 2010 they moved to Hartline for Ryan to join the family farm. Ryan operates Poe Farms JV with his uncle and cousin where they raise dryland wheat and cattle. In August 2010 their daughter Katie arrived followed by her brother James in February 2012. Dr Poe enjoys horseback riding, helping around the farm and ranch, fishing, boating, and reading. Dr Poe works with dogs, cats, horses, beef cattle, small ruminants, and camelids (no feathers or scales). Dr Poe is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association (WSVMA), the American Association of Equine Practioners (AAEP), and the American Association of Bovine Practicioners (AABP).
