Dr. Maggie MacQueen grew up in Southern California, north of Los Angeles. From a young age, her passion for animals shaped her desire to become a veterinarian. Dr. MacQueen received her undergraduate education at San Diego State University and attended veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
Following veterinary school, Dr. MacQueen completed a rotating internship in Connecticut/New York. She then moved to Northern California for a fellowship in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. After falling in love with the Foothills, she decided to stay long-term and joined the team at Pleasant Valley Pet Clinic.
In her free time, Dr. MacQueen enjoys yoga, horseback riding, all outdoor sports/activities, gardening, and spending time with her fur children (two rambunctious cats, a goofy shelter pup, and her off-the-track Thoroughbred). (Source)
