Casey grew up in the central mountains of Colorado. He graduated from Colorado State University school of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After which spent a year as an intern gaining valuable experience at the famed Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He then worked at racetracks in Texas before landing in southern California. During his time at Los Alamitos Race Course his patients were primarily quarter horses, arguably some of the best in the world. Dr. Potter has had over 30 world champions as patients during his career and his patients have included elite equine athletes from a variety of disciplines including reined cow horses, professional/collegiate rodeo horses, reining, endurance, dressage, versatility, cutting and USEF team members. Casey’s interests outside of veterinary medicine consist of hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending as much time as possible with Arlene his wife of twenty-four years, their dogs, and horses on their ranch outside of Canon City.
