About Shelby Rector, B.Sc., M.Sc.

Shelby has extensive experience as an equestrian professional and a mutual love for science and research. She found her passion for horses at a young age and grew up riding a variety of disciplines. She enjoys riding and showing her big warmblood gelding, Andy. She also loves helping others achieve their riding goals and keeping their horses happy and healthy. She completed her MSc in Equine Science from The University of Edinburgh in 2020, where her research focused on equine biomechanics. When Shelby isn’t involved in horse related activities you can find her in her garden or in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains where she enjoys both snow sports and hiking with her dogs.
